Structured exercise and hands-on therapy after a heart event — led by John Clarke, who lives with a heart condition and an implanted defibrillator (ICD) himself. 20+ years in rehabilitation. Every session monitored, every step at your pace.
The same discipline as hospital cardiac rehab — carried on for as long as you need it. A three-step rhythm, repeated every six weeks.
Health screening, resting heart rate and blood pressure, current medication, and your consultant's guidance — before any exercise is planned. With your consent, we liaise with your GP or cardiologist.
Screening & GP liaisonGentle, progressive sessions — heart rate and blood pressure checked every time, intensity always inside the range agreed at your assessment. You are never pushed, only progressed.
Monitored every sessionEvery six weeks we walk through your readings together and adjust the plan. A written summary can go to your GP or cardiologist, so everyone caring for you sees the same numbers.
Six-week review cycle
John lives with a heart condition and an implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) — so he knows the fear of the first flight of stairs, and what it takes to trust your body again. Professionally: BSc (Hons) Sports Science & Psychology, SMA & CNHC registered, 20+ years combining strength coaching with Level 5 sports massage, advanced soft tissue therapy, cupping, IASTM and injury rehabilitation.
John trains with an ICD every day. Every member is screened before starting, sessions stay inside agreed limits, and if anything needs your doctor's sign-off, we get it first — not after.
PAR-Q + medical historyHospital cardiac rehab ends just as confidence starts to build. John's programme continues that structured, monitored approach — strength, movement and hands-on treatment — for as long as it helps.
Continuity of careWith your consent, assessment results and six-week summaries are shared with your GP or cardiologist. One set of numbers, seen by everyone caring for you.
Written summaries providedEvery session is 30 minutes. Twice a week works out at £38 a session, once a week at £42. You start with a longer first consultation, then choose once or twice a week for a six-week block — the same rhythm as NHS cardiac rehab. Payments can be spread weekly if that suits you better.
John showed me his ICD scar on day one and said "we're in the same club." That did more for my confidence than anything the leaflets said.R. Whitfield — member since 2025
